Activities abound in this beautiful part of the world. Whether it is summer or winter you can be as busy as you like by just stepping outside the door. In the summer if golfing is to your liking you can hit the links right off the front porch at Serendipity Golf Course. You can keep busy hiking some spectacular trials in the Colville National Forest or Sullivan Lake Area. Great family excursions are a short half hour drive away at Gardner Caves in Crawford State Park and a tour of Boundary Dam. One finished there, head into Metaline Falls for an ice-cream cone, see a movie at the Clark Fork Theater or check out what event is being held at the Cutter Theater . If a day of action is what you want take the two hour drive to Silverwood Theme Park. However, if total relaxation is what you had in mind you can sit on the dock and drop a fishing line in the water and watch the eagles soar overhead. Winter offers abundant beauty in the snow covered Selkirk mountains. When you are ready to hit the slopes there are four excellent ski resorts all within a two hour drive. In Canada you can ski in pristine powder at either Red Mountain or Whitewater Ski Resort. Both are less than an hour and a half drive. If you want to stick closer to home head to 49 Degrees North which is just under an hour. Finally, if Idaho powder is what you want, try Schweitzer Resort at just two hours away. When you are finished warm up back by the fire with a toddy. This beautiful area offers something for everyone. ENJOY!
